Philip's images have appeared in many of the world's leading motorsport and automotive magazines. He is a full member of the Guild of Motoring Writers and is the founder and editor of the Journal of Automotive Photography.

Philip worked in Hong Kong for 25 years and wrote several books on the history of the Macau Grand Prix as well as an acclaimed biography of Teddy Yip. He is Historical Consultant to the Macau Grand Prix Museum.
